Amy is an integral part of the business, maintaining and developing some of the most critical live services which underpins everyone's life in the UK, ensuring that services are constantly available and meeting the demand of the client.

Amy has just been part of a winning team for a Capgemini Tech Challenge, designing an AI Bot to support the needs of the Early & Emerging Talent community within Capgemini. The bot was developed using Azure and OpenAi 3.5 to create a proof of concept and has now received the go-ahead to create the solution. Although the bot was designed initially for the apprentice community, it will now have wider-reaching use with leadership now wishing to use it. It will contribute to business development by streamlining queries from the community, which will in turn have a large cost-saving and time-saving effect across the business.

Earlier in 2023, Amy presented on a Virtual Panel session, talking about her experiences with her Dyslexia in front of over 100 community members. Everyone in attendance felt that Amy was inspiring and brave for sharing her story, and all took away vital knowledge from the session.

Amy takes an active role in supporting new apprentices with additional learning needs when they join the business. She understands the processes for how they should be accessing reasonable adjustments, such as supportive software to help with their work. She helps them to navigate the world of work through the eyes of somebody who has a learning need and makes the beginnings of their careers feel more comfortable.

On top of her day job, Amy is committed to giving back to schools. In December, she has volunteered to co-deliver a talk to the Holy Trinity Academy in Telford (A SEN school) about access to employment through apprenticeships, aiding Capgemini with our pledge to improve social mobility. We are confident that Amy will deliver a polished and inspirational talk to the future apprentices, helping them make informed choices about their future options.

Amy overcomes boundaries every day in her role as a software engineer, may it be her dyslexia, being a woman in tech or navigating a challenging client with ever-changing requirements. She does not let anything stop her, using any challenges as an opportunity to grow and expand her skills. Her role as a Software Engineer requires her to complete data analysis, service development, testing and report key findings direct to the project Architect. Amy’s work is always delivered to an exemplary standard due to the time and commitment she puts in to making every project a success. Amy is always asking questions, raising issues and finding ways to improve processes for both her current team, and future apprentices within the company.
