Invotra

The BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT Award for SME Employer of the Year

"We have been providing opportunities and watching homegrown talent flourish for the last 8 and a half years. We are firm believers in offering an alternative to university that allows people to gain real business experience whilst they learn, free of charge. It’s a common misconception that you need a degree to end up in senior roles.

We are proof that this doesn’t have to be the case with 60% of Invotra’s Senior Management Team being current or former apprentices.”

Julie Mills

The NOCN Group for Intermediate Apprentice of the Year

“I have personally benefited from the National Apprenticeship Awards process as it has given me the opportunity to realise how far I have come as an individual.

“To win on a national stage is unreal. I feel as if I am dreaming.  I never thought I could achieve anything like this.  Being an apprentice has changed my life and I know I am a different person but to be crowned the national winner is just amazing.”

Home Group

The British Army Award for Large Employer of the Year

“We are absolutely delighted to have our approach to apprenticeships endorsed by the National Apprenticeship Service and our peers across all sectors who were involved in the awards and in the judging.

We are also proud of our apprentices at Home Group and are driven by the life changing impact apprenticeships have on our customers and communities."

Tatiana Peters

The Royal Navy Award for Advanced Apprentice of the Year

“I am thankful for this award. I am so overwhelmed and astonished by this achievement and honestly cannot believe it. I am so proud of myself and extremely happy that so many people believed in me. By winning this award I now have a prestigious platform to stand on. This will aid me in becoming a known role model for young girls to inspire into a STEM related pathway and also to smash the stereotypes.”

Louise Meredith

The Nuclear Decommissioning Site License Companies Award for Higher or Degree Apprentice of the Year

“I believe the National Apprenticeship Awards allow for apprentices to get the recognition they deserve for the hard work and dedication put in over their time on their apprenticeship. Through applying for this award I realise how far my apprenticeship journey has taken me, and the range of challenges I’ve overcome since the beginning of my apprenticeship. I feel absolutely amazing to have been crowned National Higher Apprentice Winner 2019.”

Mitchells & Butlers

The QA Award for Macro Employer of the Year

Being crowned the National Apprenticeship Awards 2019 winner is a huge honour, and the culmination of years of hard work and dedication to ensuring our apprenticeship programme is the best fit for not only our business, but the near 2,500 apprentices we currently have on our programme.

The team are truly dedicated to offering opportunities to apprentices nationwide, and offering a career in an industry that is all too often overlooked by school-leavers.”

Dominique Unsworth

The Royal Air Force Award for Apprenticeship Champion of the Year

"As a national winner, I feel totally blown away. Half my company is made up of past apprentices and without them Resource Productions would be nothing. I am so proud to represent small businesses and the Creative Industries and to champion that apprenticeships work both for SMEs and the cultural sector. I hope that by seeing someone with less than 10 employees reap amazing rewards from apprentices, others will be encouraged to take on an apprentice."

Home Group

The PeoplePlus Award for Recruitment Excellence

“We are absolutely delighted to have our approach to apprenticeships endorsed by the National Apprenticeship Service and our peers across all sectors who were involved in the awards and in the judging.

We are also proud of our apprentices at Home Group and are driven by the life changing impact apprenticeships have on our customers and communities."

Emilia Hoyle

The Lloyds Banking Group Award for Rising Star of the Year

“The National Apprenticeship Awards have given me the opportunity to showcase the vast experience, tasks and projects I have achieved during my apprenticeship.  It was extremely rewarding and motivating to be recognised as a national finalist and I am delighted to be crowned national winner of the Lloyds Banking Group Award for Rising Star of the Year.

“Rising to the top position of an extremely competitive awards process is an amazing feeling and immense achievement.”
