Why do you feel so strongly about promoting and celebrating apprenticeships?

Apprenticeships allows learners to discover and pursue their passion and purpose, growing with the organisations that support them. Too often people are taught at school that if they don’t do well academically they won’t achieve much in life, which is fundamentally untrue. As Einstein said: “Everybody is a genius. but if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.” Apprenticeship prove that we can all climb our own tree, surf our own wave and follow our own path.

Why do you feel proud to sponsor The National Apprenticeship Awards?

At Knowledgepool we put the learner at the heart of everything we do, to ensure they achieve their best possible outcome, therefore we would of course want to sponsor an event that celebrates individual learners and the companies that support them.

What role do apprentices play within your own organisation?

At Knowledgepool we not only support apprentices from a training providers perspective working with large public and private sector clients, we also know the value apprentices offer to organisations as we see it internally every day. Knowledgepool are part of the Capita group and we have apprentices ranging from L2 to L7 across many of our departments. We have seen how our apprentices bring new and fresh perspectives, offering innovative solutions that create real business impacts.

What message would you give to all this years’ finalists ahead of the national ceremony on 27th November?

Enjoy, you are all already winners and should be so proud of your achievements, whatever the path you took to undertake your apprenticeship you are now on the path to lifelong learning that will bring untold benefits to you, your company and beyond.
