Why do you feel so strongly about promoting and celebrating apprenticeships?

Apprenticeships make education accessible to everyone – no matter where you start, you can take your knowledge and career as far as you want to go. The National Apprenticeship Awards allow us to raise awareness and celebrate the fantastic possibilities that apprenticeships can open up, giving more people the opportunity to reach their potential.

Why do you feel proud to sponsor Macro Employer of the Year category?

It’s important to celebrate all organisations that are delivering apprenticeships well. In such challenging times, the larger organisations celebrated in the Macro award have the potential to make a real impact in their local communities by kick-starting the careers of young people, helping them gain highly-desirable skills that will give them the foundations for a successful career. By showcasing these organisations we hope it will raise awareness and inspire others to offer more apprenticeship opportunities.

What benefits has your organisation seen as a result of employing apprentices?

We train thousands of apprentices every year and place them in fantastic jobs in the digital industry – the UK’s fastest growing sector and one in desperate need of more people with digital skills. We’ve placed over 25,000 apprentices into careers so far. Apprentices are also a vital part of our business too. We have apprentices throughout QA, in all different kinds of teams and once they complete they continue their careers with us.

What message would you give to potential applicants?

A huge congrats to all finalists. They’re doing such incredible work in apprenticeships it will certainly be a tough ask to judge between such deserving candidates for the award this year. They’re all an inspiration to employers – it’s a pleasure to hear all their stories and to be able to share what they’ve achieved through this platform. We hope they inspire many more brilliant apprenticeship opportunities. We’re thrilled to be able to celebrate the fantastic achievements of all the finalists at the awards in November – and announce and congratulate the winner!
