Her role includes meeting and greeting clients and providing customer care. Gradually throughout the apprenticeship, the role will develop, and client services are undertaken such as salon spa and treatment services, styling and assisting senior stylists with hair services.

Aurora has overcome so many barriers and is really excelling as a professional hair apprentice. Aurora really pushes herself and she doesn't let anything hold her back. Through developing a relationship of trust with her tutor she can work to the best of her ability and is able to express her creativity, as a result Aurora is predicted to achieve a distinction in her end point assessment, and we are excited to see where Aurora’s career will take her! She plays such an important part of the smooth running of the salon. Her role includes meeting and greeting clients and providing customer care. She provides additional customer care to ensure a fantastic experience for the client. She ensures that the customer feels comfortable on arrival, offers refreshments, and provides the kind of service that a business can promote as a luxury visit. When she provides such a high standard of customer care the salon thrives, the stylists feel supported and Aurora’s job satisfaction increases and is often rewarded in the form of recognition, incentives, or client tips!

Her off the job training and study is one of the most important elements of her apprenticeship. This is the opportunity to be a stylist in the Academy, a salon setting with paying models, and to develop her wider skills. Through undertaking activities that promote inclusion and hot topics that focus on awareness of a variety of empathy building scenarios, she also develops her ability to work with many different types of people and interact well with others that may not otherwise have come in to contact with. This is a great career path as developing empathy, understanding about many different people outside of your own circle and using creativity to make people look and feel great is rewarding, the hair and beauty is growing and evolving all the time and our apprentices are really shaping the future and success of the industry.
